Loosely based on the Mohammed/Malvo Washington, D.C. sniper shootings of 2003, Places Like Here follows an older man and his teenaged traveling companion who, he learns, happens to be a serial shooter. Lonnie tries to shield Cab from the repercussions of Cab’s crimes and takes him on a cross-country journey in an attempt to stay one step ahead of the inevitable fall-out. Roadside diners and motel rooms speed past as the body count grows in this harrowing, language-driven play. |
