The Cast Robert Attenweiler, playwright/producer Robert was a playwriting fellow at the Lark Play Development Center, has been named in “Who is Indie Theatre in New York?” by indietheater.org and was a semifinalist (top 20 of 2400) in the ABC/Disney Television Writing Fellowship. His exciting blend of poetic language and dynamic storytelling has earned his work comparisons to that of Sam Shepard, August Wilson and Eugene O’Neill. Critics have called his work “poignant and moving” (Martin Denton, nytheatre.com) and “intelligent and fascinating works of art” (Rajiv Joesph, playwright, Cherry Lane and Second Stage). He has his MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
John Patrick Hayden, director John directed Sam Shepard’s Cowboy Mouth for Disgraced Productions in 2006 and also helmed The Butterfield Tones. John has recently received an Innovative Theatre Awards nomination for his work on Orpheus Productions’ Hamlet. Of his work on Cowboy Mouth, Martin Denton of nytheatre.com said “Hayden’s staging is sublime: claustrophobic, uplifting and always startling.” He has also worked with the Atlantic Theatre School, Northern Stage and the LA Globe Theater.
Becky Benhayon, Mary Becky was most recently seen in the world premiere of Disgraced Productions’ The Butterfield Tones and was featured in DP’s Kansas City Or Along The Way and their sold out, extended run of Cowboy Mouth. Favorite New York Stage credits include Portia in Julius Caesar (Theatre for the New City) and the Bride in a workshop production of Song of Solomon (Classic Stage Company). Becky is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. This one’s for MBB.
Danny Bruckert, Jagger Danny has been seen Off-Broadway in Tony N’ Tina’s Wedding, The Gasshole, as part of the Strawberry One-Act Festival, Lost Found & Remembered at Manhattan Theatre Source and Shots at the Kraine Theatre. He also appeared in the film Sadiq which was nominated for Best Student Film at the MTV Movie Awards.
Darren Ryan, Blanton Darren has most recently been seen Off-Broadway in Sucker Fish Messiah and in Flee This Place at the Minneapolis Fringe Festival. Other recent roles include Horatio in the Aquila Theatre Company's national tour of Hamlet, Junior Inspector Sprattling (Aquila, Strange Case of Jekyl and Hyde), Dick Chenney in Bushwakin' (Primary Stages), Benvolio (R&J, Summer Theater of New Canaan), and Quince (Midsummer, STONC). Darren is a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
Ariana Shore, Joanne Ariana is originally from Los Angeles, California, Ariana has been performing all over New York City. Some of her recent NYC credits include: The Importance of Being Ernest, Happy Hour, Closer Than Ever, Merrily We Roll Along. Film and television credits include: Rescue Me and the independent hit Horizon. She can also be seen on television on The Home Shopping Network. She holds a Bachelor of Music, Musical Theater from the University of Miami.
Joe Stipek, Krank Joe is a graduate of the Atlantic Theater Co. Acting School and Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Lizz Giorgos, Stage Manager Lizz is a recent Cornell University graduate. At Cornell's Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, Lizz Stage Managed Beat Box Bard, and Assistant Stage Managed both The Cradle Will Rock and The Nero Project. Lizz also acted as the Production Director for the Cornell Concert Commission, where she produced many concerts. She recently Stage Managed Flesh and the Desert in the New York Summer Play Festival, and currently works for Blue Man Group.
