In Cowboy Mouth, a woman has kidnapped a man off the street and plans to turn him into her rock n' roll savior,
but they fall in love along the way. Disgraced Productions has paired this Sam Shepard classic with Robert Attenweiler’s
Thick Like Piano Legs - where a lounge-singing savior came, never delivered and now has to go -
for a dangerous, delicious evening of theatre.
Shepard pines after the Dylans and Jaggers of the world,
who have never managed to take us to the promised land and Attenweiler invokes Tom Waits’
whiskey-soaked storytelling as his characters splinter under the weight of failed ambitions.
