Scenes from a Screening…
On Sunday, March 20, 2011, Disgraced TV screened the entire second season of Apt1B, including the premiere of the Season 2 Finale, at Anthology Film Archives in the East Village of NYC.
It was the first public presentation of the Apt1B series, the first time the episodes were available to be viewed back-to-back and the first time (to my knowledge) everyone’s amazing work was able to be seen on the big screen.
Many thanks to all who were able to attend and touch us with your support.

For the event, a statement from the series’ director, Dodd Loomis, was read. Here is an excerpt: “To create this [2nd season], so many folks played so many rolls. Some of these folks I worked with for days on end in stuffy, confined rooms saying things like ‘I buy it!” [and] “Split the difference!” … Some I holed up with for hours in public libraries looking at hundreds of minutes of footage … and some I never met at all, but traded several hundred emails fine-tuning their excellent original score. … I will say that every single person I worked with on this project of passion, in front of the camera and behind it … were terrific … just lovely people I’d love to work with again. You all indeed made this a project of love… .”
Even I said some words …
Now Apt1B is off to the west coast. From March 25-28, 2011, we will be among 50 web series invited to take part in the 2011 Los Angeles Web Series Festival, a weekend of screenings, panels and (hopefully) sun. Keep your fingers crossed that we bring home the gold (if that is what one brings home from these things…)!!! |
